The Children's Organ Transplant Association and Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano Hosted a Benefit for Rachel Lovell

  Approximately 150 people attended to extend support to Rachel and her family. Craig Cahan of Biaggi’s, a neighbor of the Lovell’s, spearheaded the effort of getting Biaggi’s involved by coordinating the event, printing and selling admission tickets and collecting merchandise donations for the silent auction. In all, between admission and a silent auction proceeds with items donated by many local companies, the event took in over $7,000 for Rachel and her family to help with transplant-related expenses.

The nicest aspect of this story is that a week or so prior to the fundraiser, Rachel found out that they have found a donor for her. The fundraiser turned into a celebration and was a very moving event.
